U.S.S. SEA DEVIL Association Meeting Minutes,
Charleston, SC. Saturday, 13 September 2019.
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER:
1642 - Meeting called to order by Commander Ed Lynd.

TREASURER’S REPORT:
Treasurer Mike Martin presented the Treasurer's Report, stating that $4,026.00 is currently available, highlighting the financial standing of the association as it prepares for the upcoming 2019 reunion.
INVOCATION: By Chaplain Jim Schenk.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: By the membership present.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS:
Commander Ed Lynd emphasized the importance of encouraging younger crew members to step up and take on Association Officer positions, seeking greater participation from all members. Mike Martin noted that thus far, only members from the Commissioning Crew and the immediate following crew have filled the Association Officer posts. He cautioned that without increased participation, the association may face significant challenges, potentially going the way of the dinosaurs.

Association Commander:
Motion by Bruce McDermott for Skip Short. Seconded by Joe Hawkins. Nominated and passed unanimously.
Association Vice Commander:
Dennis Dougherty volunteered and was passed unanimously.
Association Secretary:
Rick Cecchetti volunteered and was passed unanimously.
Association Treasurer:
Mickey Martin will continue as Treasurer.
The next reunion SDR X will be held in April 2021 in Williamsburg, VA. Further details regarding this event will be shared via "All Hands" email and posted on the association website www.seadevilssn664.org, as well as on social media platforms like Facebook.
