1. Congratulations and Thanks to Steve Oscher and "Team Sea Devil"

Dawn, Jenny & Tara for the outstanding job done in organizing and hosting the 2015 reunion.

2. The reading and review of the previous reunion minutes were waived (unanimously).

3. Open Discussion for and election of Officers

Commander Jim Seacord nominated Ed Lynd for Commander ~ Initially declined; however, after comments made by Mike (Mickey) Martin, Ed Lynd resigned as Vice-Cdr. and accepted the nomination. A motion was made and seconded - a vote was taken, and the motion was passed. Jim Schenck was nominated and voted in as Vice-Commander and will continue as Chaplain for The Association. Homer (Frank) Waters was nominated and voted in as Secretary. The office of Treasurer and positions of Storekeeper and Historian will remain with Past Commander Mike Martin. Ed Lynd will continue as Information Officer and website administrator.

   a. George Boyle stepped down from the post as our Sea Devil Shipmates’ Master List Keeper after many years of compiling data and making contact with fellow Sea Devil Shipmates. George provided a disk containing all of the contact information, and this duty was assumed by Ed Lynd. It was noted that some email addresses on file may not be correct, and all were asked to send an update to Ed Lynd via the link on the main page of our website.

4. Treasurer’s Report

At the time of the meeting, the balance on hand was $4,077.72. Mike Martin noted that Skip Harrington and Ed Lynd are reimbursed for expenditures to maintain the website domain name and hosting at an annual cost of ~$20.00. **Steve Oscher stated: the current event should break even, and there was a generous contribution made by an anonymous donor.

A number of suggestions were made:

   - Coordinate and merge with the Nat’l USSVI in Orlando

29 April 2015

I believe, and hope, that all who attended had a great time at the Florida reunion. Some came early and visited with friends and old neighbors from all over while others stayed late to enjoy the Florida sunshine. Pat and I stayed late and just missed the tornado going through Georgia on our way home. A tractor trailer ahead of us wasn't so lucky—a tree fell on the cab and smashed the windshield.

This reunion was a time in my life I will never forget. The talent and connection of all my shipmates astounds me. We were young and restless in our earlier years and have become talented beyond all measure. It has been a pleasure to know and work with many of you and to have served as your commander (for as little as I had to do over the past 2 years). Once again, thanks to the talent and know-how of Steve Oscher and the Team Sea Devil Ladies; we had a wonderful reunion. Thanks to all who showed personal appreciation for all their hard work. They truly went above and beyond.

I hope to see you all in 2017, continuing our legacy in submarine history.

Pat and Jim Seacord
